On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the red carpet rolls out at the stunning Smithsonian Museum of American Art as the highly anticipated African Unity Ambassadors Ball returns to Washington, D.C. — and this year, it comes with an extra dose of star power.
The organizing committee is thrilled to announce that acclaimed actor, producer, investor, and philanthropist Boris Kodjoe will serve as Host for this unforgettable evening celebrating unity, excellence, and global impact.
You know him from House of Cards, Soul Food, Brown Sugar, Resident Evil, and Real Husbands of Hollywood. But beyond Hollywood, Boris is also a German Ghanaian changemaker committed to transforming narratives and driving economic progress across Africa and the diaspora. Through initiatives like Full Circle Africa and the Kodjoe Family Foundation, Boris champions education, health, and economic opportunity for communities worldwide.
This year’s Ball — themed “Unity in Diversity, Strength in Unity” — will gather ambassadors, dignitaries, business leaders, cultural icons, philanthropists, and members of the African diaspora for an inspiring night of connection, live performances, culinary delights, and distinguished honors.
