The AU Ambassadors Ball

Experience the pinnacle of African elegance, diplomacy, and celebration at the African Union Ambassadors Ball. This exclusive event brings together esteemed ambassadors, dignitaries, and leaders from across the Diaspora to commemorate unity, solidarity, and progress.

This event will propel awareness of the African Diaspora’s engagement with the continent. It will also support on-going initiatives and investment promotion efforts throughout the continent and the Diaspora to ensure economic development globally through economic sustainability and local content development, gender equality, peace- building efforts, the United Nations SDGs-Global Goals, Pact for The Future, and the African Union’s “Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want.”

Who will be there?

The AU Ambassadors Ball is an evening of grandeur, elegance, and camaraderie, bringing together esteemed individuals, diplomats, and leaders who share a common vision of a prosperous and interconnected Africa. It will host ambassadors from African nations, ambassadors from other countries as we aim to increase bilateral relationships, corporations and foundations that engage in development and support of African nations, United Nations agencies, international and national government agencies, and NGOs.

Andrew Young spoke as the second annual Tom Johnson lecturer. He is perhaps best known for working with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Civil Rights movement. Young was a key strategist and negotiator in the campaigns in Birmingham and Selma that resulted in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
